Fusion Media Group LLC, is launching IDENTITY magazine. A new, hip, trendy, fashion forward lifestyle publication for multicultural men between the ages of 18-34, who are heavily influenced by hip hop culture. We are seeking an Editor-in-Chief with noted editorial skills particularly from the urban/hip-hop entertainment landscape. The candidate will guide and oversee all editorial content for IDENTITY, and/identitymag.net. Responsibilities include collaborating and working closely with the Managing Editor for each issue to ensure the seamless integration of the magazine content to the website. The Editor-in-Chief will guide and oversee the other editors and writers; journalist. The Editor-in-Chief will ensure the flawless execution of identitymag.net’s editorial positioning with utmost journalistic integrity and timely and relevant publishing. Other responsibilities include: match the most appropriate story and most appropriate staff to develop and present specific content, ensure content is always vastly entertaining, consumable, informative and current. Qualified candidates will possess 2+ years of proven leadership and managerial skills including previous direct managerial responsibilities of professional journalists; be an outstanding communicator, both orally and in writing, and have the demonstrated ability to work successfully in a challenging and demanding environments. 2+ years as a journalists/editor/writer in other urban or like magazines. Experience in interviewing urban music (hip-hop and R&B) artists and some experience working in the interactive web space is a major plus.Great fashion sense, trendy, self-motivation, high energy, superior stamina and a desire to win are required.
